Bold Colors Paired in Simple Ways

Last weekend, I spent part of the morning reorganizing my drawers full of paper when I suddenly thought of a fun way to both minimize my stock in paper and provide an economical set of correspondence for my customers. I paired bright colored card stock with contrasting envelopes. I cut flat note cards from light-weight 80lb card stock and printed each card with a handwritten hello. The end result? Bright, fun, and bold flat notes for the economically minded. Right now there are three limited edition sets of 8 flat notes available in the shop, and each set is only $10. And I have a few more color combos in mind. These cards would be perfect for a simple note to a friend-- nothing too fancy, but a blast of color to brighten someone's day.
I think I'll even start using these for myself to send a little cheer to my family and friends. Sometimes the simplicity of color is all that we need.
An Update

My latest anniversary card may or may not be from similar personal experience.
I love the fine print on this one. Not going to lie-- I may have felt a little old this year on my birthday. Only one year away from the big 3-0 is kind of crazy!
A few people suggested that I make some fun cards with no occasion in mind. This is one of my favorites as a result of that suggestion.
I love the simplicity of this love card. Reminds me of those grade school crushes.

Halloween Cards

I may be a super dork, but I can't stop laughing at this super ultra hip ghost. He kind of reminds me of Joe Cool if you know what I mean.
And when it comes to this candy corn card, I'm speaking from experience here. I seem to OD on the stuff every single year despite the fact that I hate it. So disgusting, but I just can't stop!
And seriously, it was just too hard for me to pass up this one. Let's face it, there are people that call their significant other "boo" and they need cards, people! They need cards! (If I was really sitting there telling you this in person, I would have said that Jerry Seinfeld-like. Also, I almost typed Jerry Springer instead. That would have been interesting. Ooops.) Plus, who could resist a girl ghost with long eyelashes? You have to look closely, but they are there!
And those, my friends, are my new Halloween cards. Enjoy.
Are you thinking about Halloween yet? Or am I the only one?
The New Birthday Card Line

After much research, I decided to dive into this project because it seemed that there was a bit of niche for such an item. And I have to say that after checking out the scene, there are not many cards of this sort that feature the constellation rather than a zodiac symbol or picture. And I am also happy to say that so far they have received many compliments in the few days that they have been launched. It seems that the Virgo and Libra cards are the most popular at the moment, as we are currently in the midst of those birthdays. (I myself happen to be have a birthday right on the Virgo/Libra cusp.)
Needless to say, here is a peek at a few of the cards in the new line which you can now find in my shop.
I really love how the full line turned out. You check out the full line in the Birthday Cards section of my shop.Have you been working on any new projects lately?
New Items (Sort of)

Remember these pretty personalized note cards?
Or this fun rainy day set?
I love the colors of these, but had totally forgotten about them.
Such a summery color scheme.
Gotta love the arts and crafts look.
I know you remember all of these designs. Oh wait, you don't? That's ok. It's probably because their photos were crap and made them pretty forgettable. Well now that they look pretty, all is better. Instead of them looking like bad products just because of the photos, they now look pretty fabulous, which if I have to say so myself these bad boys are all super duper fabulous. Toot my own horn much?Needless to say, I've been putting in a lot of hard work with my shop and it seems to be paying off a little as well. Have you been making any big changes in your shop or blog lately?
Now enjoy your lovely weekend while I skeedaddle up to Jersey City for a wedding!
