Design a Day Challenge: Day 13

Today's design is a set of four note cards in hues of blue. These cards features layer of paper, including fun glossy metallic plaid, and rounded corners. Somehow these cards remind me of the country cottage style. Maybe it is the combination of the blues, plaid, and the rustic kraft paper.

Kind of makes me want to move out of the city and into the countryside.

Just popping in quick before I head off to the farmers market. Today's design shares both traditional and retro details. Textured yellow damask cards paired with aqua and gray triangles are the agenda for today. Take a peek and let me know what you think.

This is definitely a bright and sunny design! Hope your day is just as bright!

Design a Day Challenge: Day 11

Don't worry kiddos. I haven't given up yet! I'm just a little late for my post today! My parents are arriving in Baltimore tomorrow and will be with us for three days, so today was a long day of errands and preparations for their arrival. Hopefully I'll have a chance to post the next few days, but if I don't, rest assured that I have been diligently designing away. And of course I'll update you when I can.

For today's design, I used a light aqua paper that I hand cut into my note cards. I added a dash of cream, a piece of kraft, a swatch of ribbon, and finished the set of with an aqua button.

Blank inside, these note cards offer no sentiment. But sometimes that's all a note card needs to be. And notice that color combination again? Trust me. There's more of that to come. Hope you don't mind. :)

Design a Day Challenge: Day 10

Today's design is more like three designs. I could have hoarded them for the next two days, but figured they're pretty much, kind of, sort of the same thing-- technically. At least, they follow the same design concept. You guys know how much I love simple, so I'm at it again.

Can I just say, there is nothing better than some super bold and fun colors on crisp, clean card stock! Yup-- still addicted to this white linen! In fact, I may just order up some more of it! Nothing like getting a vibrant and clever little greeting card in the mail. If I were you, I'd be snatching these up, but then again I would say that since I designed them, wouldn't I? ;)

Design a Day Challenge: Day 9

Apparently running a day behind with posting is the new trend. But don't worry, I'm still on track for my Design a Day Challenge. I had true intentions of getting this design up for you yesterday, but three things caused me to do otherwise.

1. Photoshop crashed.

2. Walking the dog took way longer than it should have.

3. We went to the O's game and between the other two things on this list, I ended up running out of time to actually write my post for the day.

But I am still on track. Have no fear. And the design for yesterday is something that encompasses three things that I already currently design-- note cards, recipe cards, and gift tags. I went with a blue and green bubble design and squeaked out this fun little stationery gift pack. 4 note cards, 4 recipe cards, and 4 gift tags. It's kind of the perfect thing!

And please, don't judge the photos as of late. Like I said, Photoshop crashed. I'm waiting to reinstall until I get a new external hard drive so I don't put so much wear and tear on my MacBook. Hopefully I'll be able to do this soon. For now, I'll just enjoy these bubbles and remind myself that the good news is I didn't lose any files. Be ready for another new design this afternoon!
